Our Sasha Lightbourne has the story.

After a tour of the Port Lucaya Marketplace revealed the plight of vendors, Grand Bahama Minister Ginger Moxey says she jumped into action to seek approval for monetary relief to the tune of $177,000.

Moxey says those funds will also go beyond the Port Lucaya Marketplace.

According to the minister, Port Lucaya has 127 vendors. There are 188 vendors in the harbour, 10 at Eight Mile Rock Fish Fry, and another 20 at the farmers market in downtown Freeport.
