UNITED STATES – Legendary music producer, Quincy Jones, the man known simply as “Q,” has died at the age of 91.

Jones was a huge influence on American music. His career spanned more than 65 years. In that time the multi-disciplined musician, composer and producer won 27 grammy awards.

His most lasting achievement would be in collaboration with Michael Jackson.

The pair made three landmark albums including ”Thriller” in 1982.

Jones began as a touring jazz musician, before becoming one of the first black executives at a white-owned record company, Mercury Records.
