Grand Bahama Center Expands
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The Grand Bahama Resilience Center was formed shortly after the passage of hurricane Dorian as there were concerns about the mental health of many Grand Bahamians and Abaconians who encountered deep trauma during that major storm.
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The Grand Bahama Resilience Center was formed shortly after the passage of hurricane Dorian as there were concerns about the mental health of many Grand Bahamians and Abaconians who encountered deep trauma during that major storm.
Since then the center has catered to many who may be in need of mental health care, counseling and education.
The center will now have a new home on Tripp Circle. This as the TX Foundation recently pleged some one hundred thousand dollars for the new center.
The TX Foundation is a Chinese based charitable organization that assists non-profit organizations in 56 countries around the world.
Minister for Grand Bahama Ginger Moxey says the work done by the center is to be commended.
Spouse of the Prime Minister, Ann Marie Davis says the facility will be a light of hope.
Executive Director of the Resilience Center Felisha Mcbride says their services will be expanded.
The Grand Bahama Port Authority also assisting the center as they donated the building. Renovations are expected to take some four months.
