GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – As the Independence holiday quickly approaches, residents in the Northern Bahamas are showing their support by shopping at home.

The Our News team spoke with businesses owners, employees and shoppers.

Manager of Parfum de Paris, located Downtown Freeport encourages Bahamians to shop at home this Independence holiday.

She says sales have picked up in the Downtown area since the return of the food store.

While sales may have picked up for some business owners, not all can say the same.

Over at the Ravyn Mall, Bahari hosted a pop-up shop this week which attracted lots of shoppers.

Owner of Exotica Boutique and Beyond, Latanya Strachan says shopping at home can be beneficial.
