GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Star Film Institute committee member, C. Jillian Gray says it’s significant that the finalist’s plays are premiering in Grand Bahama.

The productions also boast all-Bahamian casts, which Gray says spreads opportunities that goes beyond the writer-producers entered in the competition.

J’nya Seymour is a finalist in the television drama category, with her project titled Fate Or Fortune.

Seymour calls it a learning experience and a series of firsts.

Theatre finalist, Shauna Joseph’s play “A Will To Love” is not her first venture in theatre, but she says she’s grateful the opportunity has been extended to Grand Bahamians where many are often Nassau-centric.

And there will be some big industry players watching the shows at the Regency Theatre later this month.
