GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The Red Cross celebrated its long-awaited return to Grand Bahama after nearly two decades.

While New Providence hosts its annual ball each year, the event in Grand Bahama had been discontinued due to the impact of several hurricanes.

Last weekend, the Renaissance Ball attracted hundreds to the Grand Lucayan Resort. Organizers say the event plays a crucial role in raising funds for the organization’s programs.

Attendees describing the evening as beautiful while expressing their commitment to supporting the cause.

Red Cross Director Edison Sumner says the evening was a celebration.

Beyond the exceptional entertainment, food, and drinks, many attendees marveled at the elaborate atmosphere designed for the ball. Owner of A Social Affair, Vangie McBride-Outten was responsible for the stunning décor.
