NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A grandmother is facing charges after she allegedly failed to notify authorities that her four-year-old granddaughter had been indecently assaulted. 

The 51-year-old woman is charged with failing to report the abuse of a minor. 

Prosecutors say the woman knew that her 50-year-old brother inappropriately touched the minor on October 1 but failed to report it.

Their names have been withheld to conceal the victim’s identity.

They both denied the allegations at an arraignment before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans, who set bail at $7,000 each.The accused return to court in November for their trial.
