Haiti: American Nurse & Daughter Kidnapped

HAITI – An American nurse and her daughter, who were kidnapped in Haiti on July 27 remain missing, even as the state department issue orders for U.S. officials and their families to leave the country amid worsening clashes between gangs and police.

The Christian humanitarian organisation El Roi Haiti, confirmed that the 31-year-old American nurse Alex Dorsainvil and her daughter, were kidnapped from the site of the non-governmental organization.

On the day of the Dorsainvil’s kidnapping, the U.S State Department issued a level 4 do not travel advisory on Haiti due to kidnapping, crime, civil unrest, and poor health care infrastructure.
