ISRAEL – Hamas has reportedly agreed to a proposed Gaza ceasefire and partial release of hostages, according to a source within the group.

The plan, reportedly brokered by Egypt and Qatar and based on a U.S. framework, could see about half of the remaining 50 Israeli hostages freed during a 60-day truce, with talks on a permanent ceasefire to follow.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insists he will only accept a deal if all hostages are released at once.

Meanwhile, Israel is reportedly planning to expand its military offensive in Gaza, where tens of thousands have already fled.

Hamas is calling for a broader agreement, including prisoner exchanges, an end to the war, and eventual Israeli withdrawal.
