CAT ISLAND, BAHAMAS – The prime minister made several other pledges to Cat Islanders including the repair and reopening of several clinics.

In June 2021, the Health Minister Renward Wells outlined government plans to build five new Family Island clinics and renovate four others.

Cat Island was on the list for the works to be funded by a $60 million Inter-American Development Bank loan.

Nearly two years later, the prime minister is explaining why there hasn’t been any headway.
