MICRONESIA – Three shipwrecked men were rescued from a remote Micronesia island after they encountered problems with their boat and were stranded on the estern pacific island for over a week.

The men were reported missing by their niece, who told authorities they failed to arrive after setting off on easter sunday for Pikelot Atoll.

After launching a coordinated rescue effort involving both the U.S. Coast guard and the navy. A navy aircraft located the men, who had written ‘help’ with palm trees, on the sand.
