NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Adam Dann, CEO and Founder of Storm Frame Windows and Doors warns to get prepared for the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season.

With more than twenty-five years in the business, Dann says it’s no secret that hurricanes are getting bigger and stronger. That’s why, he stresses, it’s more important than ever to storm-proof your home.

He’s cautioning homeowners to outfit their properties with authentic, certified products, warning that not all hurricane-rated windows and doors are created equal.

Adam Dann – CEO & Founder, Storm Frame Windows and Doors:
“In The Bahamas, there’s no law against providing something that’s ‘hurricane resistant’, but it’s remotely not hurricane resistant, not tested, and would never pass. So when you’re considering hurricane windows and doors, please make sure that there’s certification for approval. Because the cheaper vinyl products out there are not remotely hurricane-rated. And if you think you’re getting a deal, you are not. Shortcuts are also the longest road.”

And while the hurricane season is already in full swing, Dann says it’s never too late to act.

Adam Dann – CEO & Founder, Storm Frame Windows and Doors:
“Make sure everything is operating right, your hardware’s good, it’s not rusted. And if you cannot afford authentic hurricane windows and doors, I would absolutely buy plywood. Be prepared now. Don’t wait until there’s a storm coming and expect to get anything from the hardware store, because it’s just not going to be left.”

“I would take it seriously. Your family is your biggest investment, and the most important thing in our lives, so I would take it seriously.”
