St. Maarten – Police in St. Maarten rescued four human trafficking victims after stopping a vehicle driving recklessly on Rhine Road around 01:30 am on January 4.

St. Maarten – Police in St. Maarten rescued four human trafficking victims after stopping a vehicle driving recklessly on Rhine Road around 01:30 am on January 4. 

The driver, identified as J.B, was arrested for human smuggling. The victims, likely smuggled into St. Maarten from the french side of the island, were handed over to the immigration department. 

Authorities emphasized the serious threat human smuggling poses and vowed to collaborate with relevant agencies for a thorough investigation.
