NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As the 44th CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting continues, Immigration Minister Keith Bell says he’s optimistic regional heads will come out of these sessions with a solution to the ongoing issues in Haiti.

The ongoing issues in Haiti have had a direct impact on The Bahamas as hundreds of migrants continue to make landfall in The Bahamas over the past few months.

He said meetings like this bring countries together to act in unity.

Bell says the issue requires countries to act as one region on the matter.

However, he says the solution must come from Haiti.
