NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A senior civil engineer explains how the Ministry of Works partners with utility companies.

You may have seen the issue happen in your area. The Ministry of Works paves a road, but not long after, that road has to be cut into by one of the major utility companies.

Well, in an effort to cut back on the vexing issue, The Ministry of Works holds monthly meetings with the major companies.

Senior Civil Engineer in The Ministry of Works, Francis Clarke says there are times when a utility company has to make application for emergency excavation.
