Over the next few months, The Bahamas will maintain a presence at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai.

Organizers hope The Bahamas’ pavilion will generate interest in The Bahamas, especially in investment opportunities.

For the next three months, this pavilion at the World Expo in Dubai will serve as a gateway to The Bahamas in so many ways. Every day hundreds will visit, leading to possible vacation stays or long-term investments.

The pavilion – named ‘Bahamas Strong’ – is strategically located in the sustainability quadrant. Opened back in October, it will remain a central point of contact for people interested in doing business with us.

To the average visitor, it would appear the pavilion is just displaying art and aspects of culture. But, dig a bit deeper and you begin to realize these displays are designed to present opportunities.

Visitors here are global citizens. Dubai has 9 million expats, and a million citizens. That’s not the people coming here just to visit the Expo 2020 site.
And here to greet them is a team of eight Ministry of Tourism staff, temporarily stationed in Dubai for this expo.

Rose Frazier – a senior executive at the ministry – is a part of the pavilion staff. Like so many who have passed through here in these weeks and months, she sees opportunities for Bahamians in so many different ways.

When you walk around the world expo there are huge, country displays – with mind boggling architectural designs. It truly is all about the innovation here.
And while The Bahamas pavilion may be at a fraction of the size and cost, it’s the warmth of the greetings and uniqueness of the culture and environment which leaves visitors with lasting impressions.
