GAZA – Israeli airstrikes in Gaza overnight and into Wednesday hit a U.N. School sheltering displaced families, killing at least 34 people, including 19 women and children, according to hospital officials.

The deadliest strike targeted the Al-Jaouni Preparatory Boys School, with Israel claiming Hamas militants were inside, though this could not be independently verified.

At least 14 people died in the attack, including children, while another 18 were wounded.
