JAMAICA – Five people were killed in a mass shooting monday night in Jamaica’s St. Andrew Parish, near the capital, Kingston, according to local media.

Authorities say they have not made any arrests or identified a motive.

This marks the latest in a string of mass shootings, including one in late October when five men were killed at a soccer game.

Jamaica has one of the world’s highest homicide rates, but killings are down this year, with1,039 reported so far, compared to 1,262 last year.
