JAMAICA – A massive new tourism project is on the way for Jamaica. 

Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Monday broke ground for the 700 Million USD Moon Palace The Grand Montego Bay.

The luxury resort set to deliver 3,000 new jobs in St. James.

By Palace resorts development is expected to feature 1,200 suites, 13 restaurants, a water park, and the country’s largest spa. 

Holness says the investment reflects growing confidence in Jamaica’s stability and growth.

Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett says the development will also benefit local communities with housing, schools, and health facilities tied into the project.

Meanwhile Moon Palace CEO Gibran Chapur pledged to invest not just in the resort but in Jamaica’s people.
