The Marlins Slugger Hit A Home Run on Saturday

USA – Jazz Chisholm of the Miami Marlins came back from a stinger he suffered on a stolen base attempt on Thursday with a vengeance. The Marlins centerfielder hit his second home run of the year in the 6th inning.

The shot came with the Marlins down 3-0 against the Mets to bring them within 2 runs but that was as close as the Marlins would get because the Mets put them away in later innings thanks to a two-run home run at the bottom of the same inning. It would be his only hit of the night.

Jazz is also improving rapidly at his new position in centerfield. He started the game off by making this spectacular catch against Starling Marte on a long drive to center field.

Here he is robbing Escobar of a bloop single in the bottom of the 2nd.

Despite the home run, Jazz is struggling at the plate and people have theorized it may be because of his much-maligned move to centerfield.

The historically bumbling Marlins probably aren’t going to win games anytime soon. But hopefully, Jazz can put it together at the plate.
