Braves Beat Marlins 7-4

Atlanta, GA, USA. Jazz Chisholm’s 4th long ball of the season would not be enough to overcome the Atlanta Braves.

The Bahamian all-star’s 418-foot rocket came off starting pitcher Charlie Morton in the 3rd inning to tie the game at 1.

It would be the only earned run Morton gave up, as he would strike out 9 hitters in a gem of a game.

Morton’s shutdown performance allowed the Braves to put their division rival away with a flurry of runs in the 8th inning, sparked by an Eddie Rosario Home run.

Jazz would go 2-5 in the game, his other single was an infield single in the 9th in a desperate attempt to tie the game and force extra innings.

The loss is the Marlins’ 2nd straight to the Braves.

They’ll have the opportunity to get their first win in Atlanta tomorrow night.
