JJ Leads Liberty to Game 3 Win

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK – Jonquel Jones scored a team-high 27 points to help her New York Liberty beat the Las Vegas Aces 87-73. 

JJ added eight rebounds and was the team’s entire defensive scheme, swiping two steals and blocking three shots.

Breanna Stewart added 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Liberty.

Head Coach Sandy Brondello was asked about JJ’s play by our very own Sasha Lightbourne during the post-game presser.

She said JJ is “a big piece of what we wanted to do and how we could exploit them. We wouldn’t be here without her.”

CONCACAF Soccer

The Bahamas fell to Antigua and Barbuda 4-1 in CONCACAF Nations League play at the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium on Saturday. 

Wood Julemis scored the junkanoo boys’ sole goal in open play in the 62nd minute of the game when the team was already down 3-0, but Antigua and Barbuda would hold on to put the game away.
