BROOKLYN, NEW YORK – With the 2023/2024 WNBA season now in full swing Bahamian phenom Jonquel Jones is settling in with her new team – the New York Liberty – after requesting a trade in the off season.
Bahamian basketball player Jonquel Jones spoke exclusively to Our News about the expectations she’s set for herself on a new team in a new WNBA season.
Jones requested a trade from the Connecticut Sun during the offseason and ended up with the New York Liberty.
Jones also spoke about the recovery process coming off a recent injury.
And JJ, as she is affectionately known, says she expects to see more Bahamians in the stands now that she’s in New York.
