NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A judge has denied a murder convict’s  bid to keep his dreadlocks.

Justice Dale Fitzpatrick ruled today that he doesn’t have the power to order prison officials not to cut Franco Ferguson’ s mid-back length dreadlocks.

Ferguson, 28, was this week sentenced to 35 years  in prison for the September 11, 2020 murder of Charles Demeritte.

Ferguson stabbed Demeritte to death during a fight that Demeritte started.

Ferguson has a daughter with the woman that Demeritte was dating.
