NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A judge has rejected a bail bid by a former fugitive awaiting trial for a double murder.

Perry Pickering is accused of the September 15, 2017 murders of 23-year-old Dennis Moss and eight-year-old Eugene Woodside Jr.

Prosecutors say Moss was the intended target and one of the bullets meant for him ripped through Eugene family’s wooden home and struck him fatally in the chest.

Pickering was charged with the murders in September 2024 after he was deported from Florida.
