FLORIDA – A Florida jury recommending that a 24-year-old mass murderer should spend his life in prison without parole, and spearing him the death penalty.

Nikolas Cruz was sentenced for his guilty plea in the Parkland School shooting in February 2018 where he shot and killed 17 people which included 14 students at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Highschool in Parkland, Florida.

The life sentence came after the jury failed to reach a unanimous recommendation on the death penalty.

It’s a victory for his lawyers who argued for life in jail claiming their client suffered from mental disorders his entire life.
