KENYA – Haiti is anticipating and fearing its fourth foreign intervention to combat gang violence.

The first U.N.-backed police contingent arrived Monday, soon to be joined by 2,500 personnel from multiple countries.

On Wednesday, a few hundred Kenyan police officers met with Prime Minister Garry Conille to prepare for deployment.

Their mission remains secret for security reasons.
