World Athletics Relays Returning in 2028
For the fifth time, The Bahamas will host one of the landmark events on the World Athletics calendar, bringing the top relay teams from around the world back to a revamped Thomas A. Robinson Stadium.
At the World Athletics Council in Nanjing, China, the international governing body officially announced that The Bahamas will host the World Relays in 2028.
The event will take place April 22-23, 2028.
The Bahamas previously hosted in 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2024.
The meet serves as a platform for national teams to compete in various relay disciplines, often acting as a qualifier for major championships like the Olympic Games or World Championships.
Jones, Hield See Action on Tuesday Night
Both Buddy Hield and Kai Jones were on the court Tuesday night in the NBA.
Hield finished with 10 points and shot 2-5 from three-point range, but his Golden State Warriors lost to the Miami Heat, 112-86, at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

Lewis Makes Marlins Spring Training Debut
After a year on the sidelines, Ian Lewis is back on the diamond for the Miami Marlins and looks to continue where he left off in 2023, the ultimate goal remains the same, a call-up to the Major Leagues.
Lewis made his first Spring Training appearance with the big-league club in the Marlins’ 6-5 win over the Houston Astros in Grapefruit League play.
He entered the game as a defensive substitution at second base in the fourth inning and finished 1-2 at the plate with a stolen base.
The 22-year-old infielder was previously ranked as high as No. 9 in the Marlins’ organization. However, injuries and visa issues have slowed that trend in recent years. He spent the entire 2024 season training at the club’s complex in the Dominican Republic.
Over his three-year career, which has reached as high as Single-A, Lewis has hit .250 with a .698 OPS, 10 home runs, 92 RBIs, and 58 stolen bases.
