NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Leader of the Coalition of independents Lincoln Bain says they have no intention of backing down from planned protests at next week’s CARICOM Heads of Government Meetings.

Bain says the protest should not be seen as a security threat. He also says Commissioner of Police Clayton Fernander is aware of the planned protest.

Bain made the comments during a facebook live on Monday.

He says their fight is not political but seeks to put the rights of all Bahamians and permanent citizens first.
