Video footage released on Sunday and obtained by Reuters shows a brawl near the speaker’s chair, with members trading kicks.
The chaos ensued when the opposition decided to withhold approval for some cabinet members, prompting pro-government mp’s to protest, obstructing the session.
Reports suggest MP Abdullah Shaheem Abdul Hakeem was injured. While Reuters confirmed the location, the timing of the videos couldn’t be independently verified.
