Man Accused of Conspiracy Granted $30K Bail In $15M Drug Seizure Case

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 46-year-old man facing conspiracy charges following a 15 million dollar drug seizure has been granted $30,000 bail.

Jerry Pierre was arrested on December 6, 2024 on conspiracy charges, hours after a drug laden plane crash-landed in Acklins.

Police searched the plane and recovered 1,982 pounds of cocaine and 50 pounds of hydroponic marijuana.

Investigations led officers to Long Island, where they arrested Pierre, the plane’s owner and five other men.

They are charged with conspiracy to possess drugs and conspiracy to import drugs.

As a condition of bail, Pierre has to wear an ankle bracelet and sign in weekly at the Wulff Road Police Station.
