NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 30-year-old man accused of getting his live-in girlfriend’s daughter pregnant has been granted bail.

Prosecutors say the man had unlawful sexual intercourse with a dependent in January 2024 on a Family Island.

He was charged in May and denied bail. His name has been withheld to protect the minor’s identity.

Prosecutors gad no objection to the man being released on bail.

As such, Justice Neil Brathwaite set his bail at $9,500.

Once released, the man will live in New Providence. He’ll be required to check in with police three times a week and is forbidden from contacting prosecution witnesses.
