NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The 21-year-old man accused of threatening to kill Prime Minister Philip Davis has been granted $5,000 bail.

As a condition of his release, Isaac Roberts has to wear an ankle monitor and report to the Wulff Road Police Station on Tuesdays and Thursdays pending his trial.

Roberts’ trial is scheduled for September 13 and 14 before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.

Prosecutors say on February 18, Roberts called the Central Police Station and threatened the life of the prime minister.

Roberts denied the accusation at his arraignment on February 20. He was remanded to prison, pending a bail hearing that took place on Thursday.
