NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man with a tattoo of a cross on his face has been acquitted on directions from a judge.

Justice Neil Brathwaite ordered jurors to acquit Delvon Pinder of attempted murder, armed robbery and attempted armed robbery charges.

The charges stem from an incident at Yamacraw Beach on February 8, 2022.

At around 8pm, Bannerman Campbell and Alyssa Miller were parked by the beach in his Honda Civic.

A gunman opened the door and demanded the cars. Campbell was unable to find the keys to the push start vehicle and the assailant shor him in the arm and leg.

The robber grabbed Miller’s phone from the center console before he ran away.

Although Campbell said he looked in the robber’s face, he made no mention of a  tattoo between the man’s eyes.

Pinder was represented by David Cash.

Davina Pinder and Akire Nichols prosecuted.
