NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 23-year-old man is behind bars in relation to a murder and attempted murder that took place this month.

Tracey Russell, of Lily of the Valley Corner, appeared before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley on crutches and a cast on his left leg.

Prosecutors say Russell shot and killed Travase Williams and injured Markenson Mitchell during a July 14 shooting outside of a club on Nassau Street.

Bien Desir, a former cop, was charged last week with shooting Russell after he allegedly shot both men.

Russell didn’t have to enter pleas to the charges and was denied bail.

He returns to court on November 21 to voluntary bill of indictment papers.
