NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of fatally shooting his neighbor during a fight is behind bars.

Prosecutors say 31-year-old Edward Wilkinson is responsible for the April 9 murder of Leonardo Hepburn and the attempted murder of Jeffrey Hepburn at Dunmore Street.

Wilkinson was not required to enter pleas to the charges when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt and he was denied bail.

He returns to court on August 28 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.

Wilkinson is also facing gun and ammunition possession charges after police allegedly found the murder weapon in a building on Brougham Street.

Wilkinson pleaded not guilty to charges  that he was found  in possession of a 9mm pistol and two unfired rounds of ammunition.
