Man Charged With Attempted Murder Gets Case Dismissed
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Charges filed against a man accused of a 2019 shooting have been dismissed after a judge tossed an alleged confession.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Charges filed against a man accused of a 2019 shooting have been dismissed after a judge tossed an alleged confession.
Antonio Destamar faced charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The charges stemmed from an October 26, 2019 when Geovaney Lafleur was shot.
Prosecutors entered a nolle prosequi after Justice Guillimina Archer-Minns didn’t allow the purported confession into evidence.
Lafleur, otherwise known as Stick Man, was shot dead while driving a bus on Robinson Road on October 4, 2022.
