Man Charged With Jean-Rony Jean-Charles’ Murder

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 48-year-old man is behind bars after being charged with the murder of Jean-Rony Jean-Charles, who was famed for his legal battle for Bahamian citizenship.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 48-year-old man is behind bars after being charged with the murder of Jean-Rony Jean-Charles, who was famed for his legal battle for Bahamian citizenship.

Tyrone Strachan Jr stood before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain charged with the August 23 fatal stabbing.

Police said the two men got into an argument at Royal Palm Street and jean-Charles was stabbed as a result.

Strachan was not required to plead to the murder charge and was remanded to prison.

He returns to court in October.
