Man Charged With Pulling Gun with Off-Duty Officers

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 53-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly pointed a loaded gun at off-duty policemen.

The officers allegedly disarmed Hugo Stubbs before he could pull the trigger and arrested him.

The incident allegedly took place at the Higher Level Bar on January 12.

Stubbs appeared before Acting Magistrate Lennox Coleby go answer charges of possession of a firearm to put another in fear, possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition.

Stubbs pleaded not guilty and his bail was set at $9,500.

His trial is set to begin on March 13.
