NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man is behind bars after being charged in connection to a drug and gun discovery last month.

Police officers allegedly found with black Glock 9mm pistol, 11 rounds of ammunition, and 26.5 pounds of marijuana during a July 3 raid of Emmanuel Cherenfant’s home in Finlayson Street in Bain Town.

Cherenfant, 42, pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of ammunition, and possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply at his arraignment before Magistrate Lennox Coleby.

He returns to court on August 20 for a bail hearing.
