Man Given 35-Year Sentence for Sexually Abusing Granddaughter

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A pedophile who sexually abused his granddaughter for five years will spend the rest of his life behind bars after he was handed a 35-year prison sentence.

The 62-year-old man received the lengthy sentence after he was convicted of 20 counts of incest and one count of indecent assault.

He was sentenced to a concurrent sentence of five years for the indecent assault.

Jurors accepted that the man molested his granddaughter, whom he had reared from infancy, on multiple occasions between 2019 and 2024.

The victim was molested from the age of 11 up to 16.
