NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The bloodshed continued overnight. A double shooting left one man dead and another man in hospital. It took place shortly before 10 last night on Bahama Avenue just off Market Street. At the scene last night, police press liaison Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings revealed details.

Family members identified the victim as 37-year-old Bernard Lewis. Police say the victim who survived was shot in the lower body.

As for how they intend on solving this case, Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings said, “As you know… our investigations.”

This murder came less than 24 hours after a 19-year-old was shot while walking on Pinedale Road off Wulff Road just after midnight on Monday. He later died in hospital.

With the murder count topping 50 so far this year, police made this appeal to residents: “We as a… resolve conflicts.”
