Man Who Raped 14-Year-Old Sister Received Seven Year Sentence

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who raped his 14-year-old sister has been jailed for seven years.

Justice Renae McKay also ordered the 23-year-old sex offender to serve two years of probation upon release from custody.

He risks going back to prison for two years if he reoffends during this period.

The attacker was 21 when he committed the crime on September 13, 2023.

The Court heard the incident happened while their mother and stepfather went to the grocery store, leaving the children behind.

The teen went to shower. While there, her brother knocked and said he needed to use the bathroom.

She unlocked the door and let him in, and he raped her on the bathroom floor.

He pleaded guilty to incest before his trial began on May 7, sparing his sister the trauma of publicly reliving the incident.
