Mass Protests Erupt After Israel’s PM Fires Defense Minister

ISRAEL – Thousands of Israelis took to the streets of Tel Aviv to protest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s dismissal of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

Large crowds gathered on Ayalon Highway, blocking traffic and lighting fires.

Demonstrators chanted slogans against Netanyahu’s government, expressing their discontent with the decision.

In his first response, Gallant remarked on X, “the security of the state of Israel has been and will always be my life’s mission.”
