May 2027 Trial Date for Man Accused of Raping Ex-Girlfriend
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 38-year-old man accused of raping his former girlfriend is to stand trial next June.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 38-year-old man accused of raping his former girlfriend is to stand trial next June.
Rodney Felix, whose address was given as Cowpen Road, is charged with raping the woman on January 21, 2025.
Felix denies the charge and is currently on remand.
Despite being in The Bahamas for almost six years, Felix speaks no English and required a Haitian Creole interpreter.
Justice Dale Fitzpatrick has set back up trial date for June 15, 2026.
If the trial doesn’t proceed on that date, Felix will be tried on May 16, 2027.
The judge said a lawyer would be appointment to represent Felix.
