NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The energy was exciting at Freeport Fashion Week in Grand Bahama. After three days of glamour and innovation, the event ended with the Rip the Runway fashion show at the Grand Lucayan Resort.

Models took center stage, showcasing unique designs while competing for a grand prize.

Tanisha Pyfrom, the founder of Rip the Runway, shared the inspiration behind this year’s theme.

Tanisha Pyfrom – Founder, Rip the Runway
“Because this year we’re celebrating 70 years of Grand Bahama, I came up with the idea to reimagine the International Bazaar. If you didn’t know, all of our styles and fashion sense started with the International Bazaar. So, designers were asked to create high-fashion star dolls and Bahamian showgirl pieces.”

And she says this will be an ongoing event.

Tanisha Pyfrom – Founder, Rip the Runway
“Next year is going to be even better, it gets better every year”
