UNITED STATES – The Mega Millions Jackpot has now soared to $965 million – the eighth largest in the game’s history, ahead of Friday night’s drawing.

The prize jumped after no one matched all six numbers on Tuesday, extending a winless streak that began back on June 27th.

The cash option of $445.3 million can be taken upfront or through 29 annual payments.

Despite no jackpot winner, more than 809,000 tickets hit across other prize tiers Tuesday, totaling $27.9 million nationwide.

The odds of winning it all is just 1 in 290 million.
