WORLDWIDE – Meta announced Wednesday layoffs affecting employees at Whatsapp, Instagram, and its Reality Labs unit to better align with the company’s strategic goals.

A Meta spokesperson stated that some teams are relocating and roles are being reassigned, though the exact number of affected employees was not disclosed.

This latest round of cuts follows previous layoffs, including 11,000 jobs in 2022 and another 10,000 last year, as CEO Mark Zuckerberg emphasizes a “year of efficiency.”
