Sports Minister Mario Bowleg says the door is open for local sports to resume, after COVID-19 restrictions prevented teams from meeting during the pandemic.

Marcellus Hall has the details tonight in Sports.

“If you play outdoors and you have less than 30 people, you can start playing sports,” Bowleg said.
“The government is not stopping you from playing sports, especially non-contact sports like baseball, softball, golf and track and field.”

This as the minister encouraged sports officials to think outside the box to play sports during the pandemic.

For instance, he encouraged basketball teams to take their practice outside, where they will not be subject to indoor limits on gatherings.
