NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A motorcyclist has denied that police caught him with a loaded pistol.

Thirty-one-year-old Prescott Williams was arrested on January 4 after police allegedly found a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol containing two live rounds of ammunition after they searched his bike.

Williams pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition at his arraignment before Magistrate Lennox Coleby.

He was granted $7,500 bail and has to a keep a curfew and wear an ankle bracelet.

Williams’ trial is set for April 9.
